WELCOME
My name is Daniel Nissen and I am a qualified psychotherapist, working in a private practice in Manchester. I am a warm and empathic person who is passionate about therapy and the positive effects that it can have on people's life.
MY EXPERIENCE
I have extensive experience offering therapy in various settings within the private and public sector, including my current role as a psychological therapist within the NHS. I also work as clinical lead for a local mental health charity.
I have experience working with a bereavement service, gambling clinic, sexual assault clinic and eating disorder clinic. I have experience in supervising both trainee and qualified therapists as well as lecturing on psychological topics.
HOW I WORK
I work using a combination of psychodynamic and systemic theory. This is underpinned by a humanistic and person centred philosophy which emphasises the respect and collaborative nature of therapy.
